Cozy, dog-friendly cabin w/mountain views & deck plus park access
This cozy, four-bedroom Breckenridge vacation cabin in the woods is the ultimate Rocky Mountain getaway! Whether you want to hike, ski, or even work on your novel, this mountain getaway offers all the comforts of home but with an amazing mountain view and a location near Quandry Peak and dog-friendly accommodations.
From this quiet, mountain neighborhood, you can plan a hike to Quandry Peak's East Ridge, right in the middle of the White River National Forest. It's only eight miles from Breckenridge Ski Resort for mountain goers.
The main level is filled with unique mountain cabin decor, with areas for socializing and coming together as a group. Sit in the wood-paneled living room and warm up in front of a roaring fire. There's a flat screen TV with cable and a DVD player for evenings you don't curl up on the sofa with a good book or watch the snow come down outside. You'll even have WiFi if you want to check your email.
This open floor plan has tall slanted ceilings and an attached dining area with room for all eight guests around the wooden table. From here, you'll also have a great view out at the deck - there's also a telescope if you want to look at the night's bright stars.
A full kitchen is cozy and amenity-packed with a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, and slow cooker. Start a batch of elk chili in the morning and when you get back from a day of skiing, you'll be able to sit down to a hearty feast at the end of the day.
On sunny afternoons, go out on the deck with a glass of wine to take in the majestic view of Quandry Peak. It's also ideal for some yoga in the early morning fresh air. There's a gas grill if you want to flip some burgers for lunch or cook up a platter of chicken thighs for dinner.
This main level also has a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a small mud room - perfect for storing coats and outdoor equipment, and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Like all the bedrooms here, this main floor room has a cozy quilt and lovely tree-lined view out the window.
Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms - one with a queen and the other with a twin trundle bed, perfect for younger guests to share. There's also a bathroom on this level, so you'll have a bathroom on every floor.
The bottom floor has a single bedroom with a queen bed, as well as the third bathroom, a washer and dryer, and an office space. Down here, there's room for kids to play or parents to get a little work done, or even set the younger ones up with a craft project on a stormy day. The four bedrooms in this Breckenridge getaway will comfortably sleep up to eight guests. A dog under 45 pounds may join you for an additional nightly fee.
In summer, there's a clear, intermediate trail that gradually ascends west to a stunning 13,150-foot vista, so be sure to bring your camera. Other summer activities include fishing, and biking, as well as the Breck Summer Fun Park at Breckenridge Resort. Ride a zip line, an alpine super slide, or take a scenic chair lift ride - there's plenty to do at Breckenridge Resort even in the warmer months.
Of course, in winter, you'll want to head to the resort for a day of skiing and snowboarding. And in the surrounding national forest lands there are opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Year-round, you'll be near the restaurants, shops, and even spas throughout Breckenridge's five peaks.
No matter when you plan your Rocky Mountain getaway one thing is clear - from its antler chandelier to the chairs-as-wall-art, this Summit County vacation rental is filled with whimsical touches that will make your Breckenridge vacation truly memorable!

Great property. Fit our needs perfectly for a few families. They were available to resolve an issue immediately on check in, which is a plus
It was the perfect house. The layout was great and had an awesome view. It was clean but somewhat dated....especially the kitchen (but functional). Would we stay again...absolutely!
The location was good. Plenty of dishes and linens
Everything was great, location, view, the snow in the area and my kids loved it. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was the power went out 3 times, and I suggest more TVs other than just the living room.
Highly recommended! Everything about this cabin was great!
The view from the porch is amazing!
The house is amazing as well!
Great cabin in the mountains! The view from the deck is amazing!
Nice place, beautiful view, I wish it was cleaner.
Nice place but it is older and does need some updating. It is in a neighborhood with no vehicle traffic. About 8 miles from town so not too bad. Fits large family well.
This was the perfect setup for our group. One bed/bath in the basement, one bed/bath on the main floor, and two bed/one bath upstairs for the kids. Spectacular views, comfortable house. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
Friends and I decided to have a quick getaway weekend recently and we chose this place to make our home. We loved it. It's close enough to Breckenridge without all the hustle and bustle. The home is comfortable and warm and very cozy. The view from the patio, day and night, is incredible. I have already recommended this place to a friend and will continue to do so.
If you're looking for a true mountain house -- up a dirt/gravel road -- that really feels like an escape, this property rocks. The back porch looks out over the mountains and the three levels are spread out enough to make it work well for a multi-generational family trip. It is a little ways out of Breckenridge itself, just at the entrance to Hoosier Pass on Hwy 9 (but on the Breckenridge side), so it isn't ideal if you want to eat three meals a day in town. But if you want to be close to the town and the ski slopes, without being in their confines, it's a great choice. It also works well in the off season and was particularly fetching in fall.
Great location, a little more off the beaten path so I liked the nature and quietness that surrounded us. I saw a moose in the backyard!
We loved this rustic cabin in the woods. It was charming and unique. There was plenty of room for our two families (7 total). We enjoyed our time in the mountains.
Plenty of room for a large group. Convenient to a lot of area trails.
We were all very happy with the Cabin. Plenty of room, loved the view, loved all the amenities. The kitchen/dining/living room were fabulous!
874 Range Road cabin worked out great. There are three floors of space each with a full bathroom and bedroom/s. It was nice to be able to spread out. The kitchen and living room are large and open. We had a great time and enjoyed the unit.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything from the moment I booked was effortless and seamless. The house was super cozy and fit our needs great. Some friends and I rented for a ski trip and we were very pleased to have our own rooms and showers. The location was beautiful and I can see how it is in a great spot for fun in any season. For the price, we are very satisfied. I would love to have a family Christmas here, but I'm sure the owner already is planning on just that!
Thank you for the great experience.
Our group included several teenagers, and the multiple rooms and levels worked well.
Great place located outside of Breckenridge. Easy to get in and out of the town and so nice to have such quiet neighborhood in the mountains with gorgeous views.
Overall, very nice and we enjoyed staying in the property.
It was the best vacation we had so far. We love Colorado so it was not the first time we were there.
The first time tough we didn't have problems with the rental and live in that beautiful home with wonderful view. Definitely I'll tell everyone from Chicago to go there. Thanks:)
We had a great time at this wonderfully located cabin with spectacular views especially from the deck. THe 4 bedrooms with 3 baths was really convenient for our group of 4 but 6 people could easily have a good stay. With the short distance to Hoosier Pass, Mt. Quandary trail & Breckenridge the location is the real attraction for this house.
We spent 3 nights in the middle of January 2016, at this beautiful, quaint cabin. It was easily accessed with AWD and 4WD vehicles, and the road was plowed daily. There was plenty of space for all of our family, and enough bathrooms that we weren't on top of each other trying to get ready each day for our winter activities.
There were tons of books and movies, and our 2 young grandchildren enjoyed the toys that were there. The kitchen was small, but roomy enough to get meals prepared each morning and evening. The home was very clean and well stocked, and there was plenty of room for all of our stuff, including a mud room for our winter gear. The wifi worked well, and the TV got relatively good signals, although we didn't watch it much.
The views were breathtaking, and although there were neighbors close by, it was very quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed the birds that visited the deck while I was there one afternoon by myself.
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the ski areas and towns, but still have easy access, this is a great spot!
great view, nice house, secluded location
Great place! The cabin was nice and cozy, with just about everything we needed.
This a very nice home away from home. Vacasa is a very professional management company to work with. This property will more than meet your expectations. I highly recommend both.
This is a great place that's secluded but close enough to downtown Breck. It's cozy, warm and equipped to have a great time with family and friends. It lacks a hot tub, but that's not a priority to us. We may return someday. :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the cabin feel as well as all the furnishings. This home had everything we needed plus a magnificent view. There were 4 of us plus our 8 year old Boxer. Our teen and 10 year old girls took over the upstairs and the adults enjoyed the second floor. The girls loved the drafting tables on bottom floor and now want to become architects:). A winter storm blew in and thanks to the owners we stayed another night, since we heard of several reports of accidents on I-70. We wanted to stay another night in this wonderful home anyway. Thank you for a great Mother's Day weekend. We will be coming back. The Key family
This is a great location, an authentic mountain home far away from the noise of Breckenridge, but close enough to drive in easily. We loved the views from every window, which is hard to find unless you are willing to pay luxury rates, about 2-3x the cost of this home ! Lots of windows in the living room and downstairs family(?) room all with majestic views: made us want to come back and try to hike up Quandary Peak! The beds are serviceable, kitchen and bathrooms OK, worked fine but dated even for us. The layout of the house is well thought out, with a roomy entryway with tile, so no worries about tracking in snow and mud. Upstaris is a master bedroom , bathroom and kids room, so great for families. We all loved the unique art, comfy sofas, roomy dining area. There are also some thoughtful items like a coleman lantern in the mud room for walks on the road, maybe into the nearby woods during the summer? We had some not serious but bothersome houskeeping issues, but found Vacasa was concerned too, and was very pleased with the professional response to our comments. All in all a great true getaway! One caveat: If there are going to be more than 3 average size cars, parking would be difficult! We had a VW Tiguan and VW Bus, and there was room for just one more.
Perfect for a weekend (or week if you can afford it) away with friends! Spacious, clean & gorgeous view. The only thing that would've made it better would be a hot tub! Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
The good:Beautiful convenient location in the mountains and away from the big crowds but still close to town. Amazing view of Quandary Peak and the Tenmile Range off the back porch and from the living room. So much to do all around you just minutes away. Hiking, fishing, shopping, skiing, snowboarding, eating, whatever... Cabin itself is very well appointed and clean. Very roomy with nice private bedrooms on all 3 levels with a great common area combining dining room, kitchen, and livingroom with fireplace. Gate on downstairs stairs for the little ones (but not upstairs stairs). Good deal for the money given the area. Similar price as many hotels or condos in the area, but you get so much more.
The 'Meh': Appliances and some bathroom fixtures showing their age and microwave inconveniently placed on top of fridge (short guests beware). Also pay attention to cabin access information and parking situation. Access is down stairs with parking on road limited to 2 vehicles (dead end road with little traffic, though). Decor "quirky" and feels somewhat dated. Feel a bit like you're staying in someone else's home vs a cabin specifically setup for guests. None of which are major issues at all. Just sharing my general impression and the few minor things we ran into while staying with my 78 year old mother.
The bad: Leaving.
Overall a wonderful place to relax, play, and enjoy.
