My husband, I and some friends headed up to Northstar Lodge with the hope of having a relaxing getaway weekend. We couldn't have had a more incredible stay- and the perfectly snow cast view of mountains from the main living room and kitchen was exactly what we hoped for to set the tone for our relaxing stay. Whether enjoying the amazing view, the huge kitchen ready for cooking dinners, the cozy fireplace or the tons of space throughout, the Lodge was exactly what we needed. We were a short drive from downtown Breck- close enough to enjoy days and apres-ski downtown and still have the massive Lodge to relax at the end of the day.
Wifi, multiple ensuite bathrooms for the tons of bedrooms, heated floors, 2-car garage and an absolutely AMAZING master bathroom. This is the spot for a perfect luxury stay!
This place is great! Big, convient, clean, and amazing views of the valley. I would reccomend this place to anyone!
Our favorite place to stay! Best equipped kitchen of any rental we have stayed at. We have a large family and love to cook. The main room has vaulted ceilings and a space large enough for 20 plus people to relax comfortably and together. Together.. the most important detail of any family trip. We have 4 young children (ages 8,6,4,2) and always travel with more friends and family. Plenty of beds/baths for all. The kids love to make snow forts in the deep snow around the deck as the parents enjoy apres ski and the mountains. The view is fantastic from the top of Hoosier Pass. We always take the short drive to multiple ski resorts. We go to Beaver Creek, Vail, Keystone, Copper, Arapahoe Basin, and of course Breckenridge. We have a few non-skiers who can spend the day with a great book or a beautiful snow shoe hike right from the front door An added perk is when I-70 is shut down or backed up with traffic you can easily sneak up US- 285 to CO-9 from Denver. We used this route to make our flight on our last trip home when they shut down I-70. This was our 5th stay in this house and we will be back next year!
Awesome views from up on the mountain in Blue River.
We had four adult children, two spouses of children, one boyfriend, and two infant grandchildren. There was space for all of us. Ate almost all of our dinners in the house. Found adequate cookware, utensils, and dishes for all of this. Number of beds and bedrooms was perfect for us. Deck was very nice. View was great. Very quiet. Not difficult to get to. Parking for three cars was adequate. Although we didn't use them, games, videos, and TV/cable were available. Washer and dryer were very good. Really enjoyed the house.
Much larger than expected. Plenty of room, wonderfully decorated, very clean, awesome kitchen with everything you need to cook. Very Close to Breckenridge and Quandrary Peak (14er) trailhead. But the deck/seating/view is the BEST part!!!
We had 12 women staying in this home for a retreat. They were all in awe when they walked in the door; the view the home, the deck, the rooms, just beautiful!
We had a wonderful retreat/ training. Thank you
Loved the house and the view. Accommodations were great. The only drawback was the water. One shower and one bath and we were out of water. We had to ration water with 9 people showering, washing dishes and clothes.
Beautiful views, great open plan for large family gathering, but miserable sleeping at night due to no air conditioning (not expected in the Colorado mountains) but no screens on windows=hot at night, difficulty sleeping in stuffy, hot rooms
Perfect location for our families, beautiful home, plenty of space
Sometimes photos are taken from opportunistic angles, but the view from the living room, master bedroom and back balcony was breathtaking. House is less than 5 years old and very well equipped. Would definitely stay here again in the summertime or fall.
This house was amazing! Well accommodated with all the amenities you could ask for and so much more. The beds were comfortable and the whole family could have showered together in the master bath:0) There's a huge porch where you can watch the sun play on the mountain peaks. A great place to do yoga in the mornings! The kitchen had everything you could ask for and the location was just beautiful. Five stars all the way! The Rec Center in Breckenridge was great for the kids to play in while the adults could work out. Huge water slide for the kids, couldn't drag them away. The gondola to the top of Breckenridge ski area is free and fun to see all the wild life.. Lots of activities at the top but pretty pricey,
You can walk right out of the house and up to a 14'er- Quandry Peak. wonderful trails in the neighborhood and saw Moose, Fox, mountain goats, deer and birds we couldn't even name. World class fishing nearby in Fairplay.
This is one of the biggest house I have rent. The living room is so big, and the beautiful 12 people dining table is awesome.
One of the best places I've rented. Plenty of space for our guest. All of the amenities you would need and close to Breckenridge. The only con is that there isn't a shower that is NOT in a bedroom, and only one on the main floor (in master bedroom), but this restroom is spectacular. The heated floors are a plus during the cold weather.
Great Views, missing a shower, and needs a dusting
GREAT view with amazing amenities and very comfortable beds!! Only 12 minutes from town as well so the location was really good.
The view was spectacular. There was plenty of room for us all (9 adults), onky complaint was that there was only ine shower on the main floor. It was at 11,000+ ft so be ready to be winded. We went to the o2 bar the first day which we all felt helped. Don't forget to take a chance to star gaze at night, it was a sight not to miss!
This house has a great view, and the back deck takes full advantage of it. Home was clean and spacious. Would make a great ski retreat for a big family. Although there is another house next door, the way the house is situated, the only time it's really noticeable is from the front yard. It felt secluded, but just a 20 min or less drive to Breck.
Just a quick get away before school starts back. This house has everything you need. Whether you are on the go the whole time or relaxing(with the best views)and cooking dinner there, this house meets all expectations. I would definitely recommend.
This home is spacious and clean. Has a great deck for sitting and relaxing and enjoying the majestic views of the mountains and the wildlife. Many great memories were had here.
The facilities and our activities were just wonderful. I am the matriarch of this group (4 generations were together). We are so pleased with our stay, we want to make it an annual stay with you.
This cabin and its views are priceless. Enough room for the whole family to stretch out and relax. Kitchen comes equipped with everything a cook could need. My families favorite place to stay so far.
Such an amazing house! Great location , very spacious, clean and comfortable for a big family! Nothing beats the view, way above expectations. Would definitely recommend!
The views from deck and basically every room in the house are amazing. The pictures do not do it justice.
Overall the location was good, it is about a 20 min drive to Breckinridge. The house is beautiful minus the flaws that need to be fixed. This house would be great if it had a hot tub. One thing i did like was the heated garage.
The house was very spacious and beautiful. The view was jaw-dropping. Need to note the altitude is above 13,000. We had some issues with breathing and headaches throughout our stay. We would stay here again if it wasn't for the high level altitude.
We're so glad the guests loved the large amounts of space and the majestic views from the home. The actual elevation is approximately 11,000 ft. and there are companies that can deliver oxygen to the property to help guests become acclimated to the altitude. Thank you.
Cozy cabin with beautiful view
Beautiful and spacious home. Would be great for a large group. The setting is beautiful. Wooded to the south, big mountains right in front of you when on the deck, and a charming mountain valley view to the north. When on the deck, there is privacy yet there is one neighbor next door. I would note that the altitude is above 11,000 so we had some issues with that throughout our stay. We went to the 02 Bar in Breck and felt so much better. $20 well spent! A fabulous home for the money!
We are coming back!!!!! The cabin had amazing views and is perfect for a getaway. Nothing to complain about!
I can't say enough great things about this home. I travel a lot – all over the world but am lucky to call Colorado home. We stayed in this home for a friends/family gathering. This home is absolutely amazing. From the attention to detail by the housekeeping staff to the stylish comfortable furnishings - they thought of everything - I loved the steam shower! The views out of the large windows are jaw-dropping. The layout of this spacious home is perfect for a group to come together and still have plenty of private space. The kitchen is open and well equipped. If you want the ultimate in luxury - stay here. It is far enough from the chaos of main street Breckenridge yet so close to all Summit County has to offer. We actually changed our dates because this home was booked and I am so glad we did. This home is in my top three favorite places around the globe.
The lodge is very tastefully decorated, luxurious and very clean. Also very spacious. The views from the deck are amazing both in the day and at night with the stars. The location is just far enough from town to be so peaceful. Just amazing. You will not be disappointed with this cabin. I almost didn't want to write a review because it will be taken next time we want to stay! 5 stars in not enough to rate how awesome this place is.
The house was beautiful and fits into the scenery of the mountains.
This is a beautiful home in a spectacular setting. The back deck is fabulous, with room for everyone and endless views. I would have liked a few more pots and pans, but overall the kitchen is updated and has everything you need. There are no screens on any of the doors or windows. For those staying in the winter, it won't matter at all. But in the summer, be aware that you'll be letting in lots of flies if you open the windows to enjoy the fresh summer air. Also, there is no hanging closet space in either of the two large king-sized bedrooms. Adding a wardrobe to each of those rooms would make them much more functional for longer stays (there is plenty of room: both rooms are huge).
There is plenty of storage space in the large garage for skis and equipment, for those renting in the winter.
The main reason for the 4-star (rather than 5-star) review is the overall layout. The upstairs has two queen bedrooms, each with an attached bath. The main floor has three bedrooms (the master, a king room, and a bunk room that sleeps 3). The master suite has an opulent attached bathroom. But the only other bathroom on that level is a powder room – no shower. This is awkward, especially if all the rooms are full. Those sleeping in the king or bunk room will have to go through someone else's bedroom to take a shower (and cart their toiletries back and forth with them, as the upstairs en-suite bathrooms are big enough for 1 or 2 people, but don't have enough storage or counter space for 3 or 4). Also, while the house will sleep 11 people, there is really only comfortable seating for about 6. In the summer, just spend your time on the deck – plenty of room for everyone! But indoors: once the couch and chairs are taken, there are dining-room chairs and barstools left for everyone else.
The home is impressive, updated, and clean (and the beds are comfy). If the quirks of the layout don't bother you, you'll love it (and probably give is 6 stars!).
