Recent North Georgia vacation rental reviews

The cabin was beautiful and just the right size for us! Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and the pool table was great fun too. Saw deer every morning from the back porch while having coffee. So relaxing. The hot tub wasn't heating up when we arrived so I called VACASA office the next morning and they came out early afternoon to fix it. Great service! Cabin was close to everything we wanted to do - perfect location.

The cabin is conveniently located between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The driveway is not easily accessible - we did back in as a previous review suggested. The cabin itself was very clean and well stocked. We like to cook and we had everything we needed to prepare meals.

I read some reviews before we left and they were right about the parking. It’s very small but I luckily drive a small car. Other than that, my husband and I had the time of our lives. It’s close to everything we wanted to do. Anna Ruby falls is amazing!! Helen is beautiful. I loved how most of the shops and restaurants put out fresh water for people and animals to quench their thirst. Great vaca!!!

Exploring North Georgia

A variety of cute towns surrounded by Appalachian landscape make up North Georgia, the area about 80 miles north of Atlanta. Apple hotspot Ellijay is a tourist favorite to the National Forest's southwest, and Blue Ridge's town and lake sit a little further north. Helen, known for its Bavarian architecture and mountain views, is one of the main attractions toward the east. Head up the 75 toward the Tennessee border and you'll hit Hiawassee, home to Lake Chatuge.

Things to Do in North Georgia

Visitors retreat to North Georgia vacation rentals to savor the Blue Ridge Mountains' abundance of hiking, boating, and fly fishing. The Appalachian Trail starts in the Chattahoochee National Forest, and you don't have to be a hardcore hiker to enjoy the area's trails. Blairsville's Lake Nottely is well-known for its water sports and excellent bass fishing, and it's only one of the region's many beautiful lakes.

Festivals are a big attraction here, with the Ellijay Apple Festival adding flavor to North Georgia spring. If you're visiting in the fall, put Helen's Oktoberfest on your calendar. Be sure to make time to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, a piece of living history showcasing stunning Blue Ridge views.

Whether you're here for adventure or to simply enjoy some cozy evenings in a North Georgia cabin rental, we have just what you're looking for. From antique shopping to white water rafting, the towns of North Georgia have something for everyone.
