The location was near Long's Peak trail head which is why we were interested. Once we were there we noticed the paper towel roll had been chewed through. Not a good sign. There was rodent droppings in the drawers, and food that they had dragged under the cabinets. One night a critter took the bar of soap off the sink and we found it later with teeth marks in it! All night long we listened to the creatures running through the kitchen. I stored absolutely all of our food in the refrigerator.
They only left us 3 towels to use for 4 days. No hand soap and only one sample size bar of soap. Inside the tub was a dirty wash cloth and towel. How nice. When we took a shower, it drained so slowly we were ankle deep in our own filth.
The real kicker(as if you need more) there wasn't any heat. Only space heaters. Only two of them worked. In the mountains, in October! Yep, we woke up one morning and it was 54 degrees. When I complained later they said they had cancelled other renters because of the lack of heat. This place should really be condemned. I won't rent from Vacasa again. I don't think they care about who wants to rent, just the money they receive from the rental. This unit didn't have any reviews when I rented from them. Now I know better than to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Vacasa did give me $75 credit and offered me a 10% discount on my "next" rental from them. There won't be a next time for me.
